...I got shot in the ass with a bb gun in Brooklyn...the Pennsylvania dates were sumthin' else..turns out Seton Hill is an almost all girl Catholic school..and this was their 1st concert..eVer..they were def'nly in need of some entertainment...the Penn State frat party was..well..a frat party..much to my dismay there was no ice luge (!?!), but I think we bonged enough Natty Light to make up for it...bluRp..we'll post another waAacky photo essay with
the next mailer (there's some good ones of us in the caf. at S.H.U...they had a cereal bar!).....we gots plenty new dates...NYC, NJ, PA (bOth cities), Bammy, Hotlanta and a couple o' sweetass BOSTON shows....

6) the film Lovely and Amazing is now showing at art-house movie theaters nationwide...I stiLL haven't seen the dern thing but it's been getting great reviews and one of my pals said it was very "sincere"...for those of you who are new to the mailing list, my tune "the waiter" is in the
flick and apparently it's playing on the stereo of Jake Gyllenhaal's character, a 17 year old kid who's having an afair with Katherine Keener's character..oooOoolala..oh yeah, I heard there's an extended scene with full frontal nudity..for those of you who are (or aren't) into that kinda thing...
...this whole trip has been amazing..traveling all around the coutry like this is someting I've always wanted to do...we took a buncha pictures and are planning on posting some sort of photo essay when this thing's over, so keep an eye out..finished mixing the record when I was in LA...I

BLEU: Spiderman Soundtrack, BMA awards, NEW LA DATE (April 19th)
..I'm very happy to finally be able to officially announce that my song "SOMEBODY ELSE" will be on the SPIDERMAN SOUNTRACK coming out at the end of this month....the soundtrack also features The Strokes, The Hives, a new song by Pete Yorn, Black Lab, Macy Gray (remixed by Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine), and new singles from Sum 41 and a "super" group
featuring members of Nickleback, Saliva, and Soundgarden...I couldn't be more excited to be associated with this movie which I'm certain will be one of this summer's bestesteSt...the trailers look pretty sweet right?..thanx to everyone who helped out with squeezin' us on there...... really.......... all of us in the band would also like to thank everyone who voted for us in the Boston Music Awards...I'm not sure if we're the best rock band on an independant label, but it's nice to be recognized.., especially as a group........... we plan on playing as much as we can this summer....co-headlining dates are currently being organiziZed with uberperformer Will Hoge...stay tuned for details...meanwhile, there are 2 LOS ANGELES DATES. including one new one.. the song "Snow Day" from 1999's "A Bing Bang Holidang" was featured several times on last week's episode of the WB Network's "Maybe It's Me"...sO sorry for the late notice..they moved up the episode air date without informing us.., but we'll let ya know about re-runs..
b) ++ LOVELY AND AMAZING SOUNDTRACK ++
the song "The Waiter" from 2000's "Headroom" will be featured in the new Nicole Holofcener film "Lovely and Amazing" scheduled to be released later this year by Lion's Gate Films...the film stars Brenda Blethyn, Aunjanue Ellis, Jake Gyllenhaal, Catherine Keener, Emily Mortimer, Dermot Mulroney, and James LeGros, in a stunning ensemble comedy..

as I mentioned before, we just finished some recording at good ol' Room 9 From Outer Space in South Boston, MA...the 1st half of the record should be mos'ly finished by the time we leave for the John Mayer tour...the supremely talented John "Strawberry" Fields known for his work with Semisonic, Andrew W.K. (who is about to take over the US), and Blinker The Star is co-producing the record, and the unsurpassed Ducky Carlisle (my pal) who also worked on "Headroom" engineered (and told some funnyass jokes)....we did some old songs and some new ones..the energy was supadupa..I think we're gonna have some really good stuff...
