Hello potential choir collaborator. Joining the Get Up Choir collective is a way to participate directly as a member of a rock band without the annoyance of constant practicing, ceaseless travel, and nagging uncertainty. Both professional and amateur singers are invited to perform as a part-time member of the group for one evening.
The idea sprung up in late 2002 as Bleu was gathering together yet another group of fellow musicians, friends, acquaintances, and passers-by to record the "shout chorus" to "Get Up," which went on to become the first single of his Aware/ Columbia release "redhead." As he was rehearsing this powerful group of vagabonds, it occurred to him that this would be amazing live!..a genuine "shout--chorus." In preparation for his CD release Bleu gathered a giant gaggle of gabbers and hasn't looked back.

The impact of a large group of enthusiastic harmonizers is undeniable, and the camaraderie of the choir-camp-esque community is truly rewarding. Members are asked to don the Get Up Choir uniform and rehearse for several hours the day of the show before joining Bleu and the rest of the band for a grand rock'n'roll finale. Enthusiasm and a love of music are a must. Singing ability is a plus, but not a requirement, and the timid need not apply. Joining is easy and you can view rehearsal materials prior to the performance if you desire. So don't be a wimpy wally, pick up that pen and JOin tOdAy! Bleu needs you!!
