Jasmine Ash and Bleu have been in each other's musical orbits for many years. Originally brought together to write catchy upbeat tunes for film & TV projects, the two realized they had a knack for exuberant, feel good songs. With Jasmine's cute-as-heck singing and Bleu's character voices they envisioned a record of idiosyncratic indie-pop songs that invite positivity, acceptance, sunshine and make-believe. Early on in the project the duo met to collaborate with the late great Allee Willis, legendary Grammy winning songwriter, artist and creative force of nature. Allee generously offered her own unconventional perspective on the record which culminated in a song celebrating diversity "The Porcupine, The Skunk & The Platypus" which features Allee as “The Porcupine” on vocals. Also featured on this record are the unique co-writing and background vocals of multi-talented Nashville based powerhouse Lindsey Ray.
The project has now taken on new meaning as Bleu himself has ventured into fatherhood, testing out these juvenile jams on his toddler son (who only dances to beats that truly bop).
"The Turtle" (Bleu) and "The Bunny" (Jasmine) know you’ll enjoy these eccentric mini pop anthems - crafted with love, and released at a time when positivity and happiness needs to be spread with our children as much as possible. Sing along often and loudly!
Jasmine Ash is an artist/singer/songwriter originating from Portland, Oregon currently living in Los Angeles. Her collaborations have procured singles with Lions Head (Sony Germany) R5 (Hollywood Records), a feature on Oliver Moldan’s “High & Low,” a song on Lisa Loeb’s 2018 Grammy winning Children's Album "Feel What U Feel" and others. She has achieved impressive success with her repertoire of 400 songs being featured in hit TV shows, promos, major Ad campaigns for Apple, Coors Light, Ferrero Rocher, Nissan, Victoria’s Secret, Riverdale, The Punisher, The Good Wife, Pretty Little Liars, Shameless, and more.
Bleu is an Award-winning songwriter and producer who has songs cut by Demi Lovato, Michelle Branch, The Jonas Brothers, and Big Freedia amongst many other legendary artists. Once signed as an artist to Columbia Records, Bleu has released 5 studio albums, various side projects and worked with renowned major labels, film & TV studios, and show runners. He also wrote and/or produced all the songs for Disney’s Legend Of The Neverbeast which features a duet with Grammy nominated artist KT Tunstall.
